During orientation, it is not always possible to connect with every attendee. To expand our presence at orientation, we began utilizing the Seminole Dining Orientation Hub during the 2024 Orientation season. Portable screens featuring the Orientation Hub were placed in high-traffic areas of the FSU Student Union, allowing incoming students and parents to explore Seminole Dining in a self-guided and low-pressure format. The hub functioned as an app exclusively dedicated to providing the information we wanted to share with incoming students. It was developed using Adobe XD, a UX/UI design software used to prototype apps and websites before they are fully developed. The same software has also been used to promote Grab and Go items at major campus events and to highlight chefs during our Chef Spotlight features in the dining halls.
